SL-15 - 15W Handwired Amplifer

The all-new, 15W addition to the legendary Suhr SL series of hand-wired amplifiers, we’d like to introduce the SL15. The compact, yet powerful recreation of classic British tones.

The rich, dynamic response of the Suhr SL series, with harmonically rich cleans, chewy midrange, and searing overdrive vintage character. From chimey, edge-of-breakup tones to full-throttle british gain, punchy, articulate, and incredibly touch-sensitive. Whether cranked or cleaned up with your guitar’s volume, the SL15 captures the unmistakable feel of golden era of British overdrive—just in a more compact and versatile package.

No Need to Jump Channels
The SL15’s single-input circuit keeps both channels blendable at all times, giving you effortless control over your tone. And when a channel’s volume is all the way down, it’s completely out of the circuit, preserving clarity and responsiveness. Classic British crunch meets modern flexibility, all in a compact, powerhouse amp.

Fat-Cap, Mid-Boost & 3-Way Bright Switches
Fat-Cap Switch: One of the only tweaks found on a very famous amp John worked on in the 90’s, the Fat-Cap, adding low-end punch and bass that’s perfect when using the ‘Treble’ channel. In the original SL series, the ‘Fat’ cap was always in the circuit. This switch allows you to remove the Fat-Cap to get closer to a ‘true’, stock vintage amp.

Mid-Boost Switch: Dial in the perfect amount of midrange punch to cut through the mix. The Mid-Boost give a bit more gain to the phase inverter and a subtle lift to the tonestack, boosting the gain to the mid range. Most usefull when dimeing the controls.

3-Way Bright Switch: Add brilliance and sparkle to your tone, with clarity and presence. This switch allows you to choose between 3 different values, ‘Off’ is the original SL series, all-the-way bright which is the stock value found in vintage amps and a middle position that is somewhere in between.

Master Volume Control
No more relying on external attenuators—our advanced Master Volume circuit puts total control at your fingertips. Designed for ultimate transparency, it maintains your amp’s natural character at any volume, whether you’re dialing in tones for late-night practice or unleashing full power on stage. When set to 10, the circuit is completely bypassed, ensuring uncolored, unrestrained tone. As you turn it down, the volume gradually reduces to whisper levels while keeping the dynamics and feel of your playing intact.

6V6 Tube Power Section
The SL15’s 6V6 power section is finely tuned to deliver the same rich harmonic complexity and dynamic feel as its larger siblings—just at a more manageable 15W. Designed for balance and headroom, it retains the punch, clarity, and response of a full-sized amp while allowing for more natural breakup at lower volumes. Whether you’re chasing glassy cleans or saturated overdrive, the SL15 captures the essence of big, roaring British tone in a compact, gig-ready package.
