Magnatone Varsity Reverb 15w Handwired 1x12" Combo - Cathedral Burgundy (Limited)

Introducing the Varsity Reverb. A Return to Old-School Craftsmanship and Artistry.

The Varsity Reverb marks the debut of Magnatone’s Point-to-Point Collection, a limited run of amplifiers built using true point-to-point wiring techniques and made entirely in the USA. Replacing the Traditional Collection version, this new Varsity Reverb represents a return to classic amp-building artistry, with each unit meticulously assembled by Magnatone’s master builders in small batches.

Designed for professional musicians, the Varsity Reverb delivers 15 watts of Class A power with exceptional clarity, depth, and touch sensitivity. Its circuit is built around two 12AX7 preamp tubes, one 12DW7, two EL84 power tubes, and a GZ34 rectifier, paired with a Magnatone Custom 12-inch ceramic magnet speaker. The result is a responsive, harmonically rich amplifier that rewards nuance and dynamics at every volume.

Authentic tube-driven long-pan reverb with four counter-wound springs adds dimensional depth and is footswitchable for live performance. High and Low sensitivity inputs and a feedback boost switch provide additional control and flexibility, allowing the Varsity Reverb to adapt easily from studio sessions to demanding stage environments. This is an amplifier built to be played, trusted, and relied upon.

Finished in 100 percent cotton Cathedral Black or Cathedral Burgundy coverings and fitted with a hand-tooled saddle-leather handle, the Varsity Reverb reflects Magnatone’s highest level of craftsmanship to date. As the flagship of the Point-to-Point Collection, it stands as a celebration of traditional amp building and the enduring pursuit of exceptional tone.
